The Song: Bjork - Come to me.
Love and Lust, Is there a difference? Can there be true love without true lust? Do we not fall out of love when we no longer lust for our lovers? Which hurts more, unrequited love or unrequited lust? What is the difference? Spelling. Both love and lust combine to translate into words the carnal yearning we unwillingly subject ourselves to. The ultimate goal of all this: reproduction. The continuation of the human species is the reason why we fall in love. But why do we sugarcoat our animal instincts by introducing this element of fluffy clouds, red hearts and daydreams? Natural selection. When we fall in love we tend to focus more on the positive elements of the person and ignore the negatives. Unbeknownst to us when we fall in love we are choosing a mate who will provide the essential traits to guarantee our offspring’s fitness for survival. So why do some fall in love with idiots? Heredity. We all inherit a different defintion of the perfect mate. This is why a lot of times women end up with men who are like their fathers, and men end up with women who are like their mothers. So what the hell does all of this really mean? Why try to dissect love into scientific terms? Simple: Love is a powerful emotion that must be understood. Love can drive someone to comit acts of violence or to sit down and write a beautiful song just like this one. A song that makes you feel happy to be able to love, to be able to hurt, to be alive and to be human.ΒΆ
