    It's Over

Well here we are facing reality. It’s over. We had our ups and downs. We had a great first half and a not-so great (sometimes even embarrassing) second half. We had scandal with Ramirez and now with the McCourts. Nevertheless we made it to the Post-season. I got to personally experience one of the greatest comebacks ever. It’ll hurt for a few days but that feeling will fade and all we will be left with are memories and expectations for a better next year. Go Dodgers!

    The Erased

A few years ago, it would have really bothered me to have been “erased” by someone. The fact is I’m older now. I’m 22 years old which means I’ve lived about a third of my projected lifespan. I don’t have time to care. I don’t have time to wonder how mentally unbalanced someone has to be in order to make up a stupid excuse in order to “erase” me from their life. I don’t have time for rumors either. You are not important enough for anyone to care about your life. No one is. It is not my fault that you cannot get along with ANYONE because of your own childish excuses. It is not my fault that you couldn’t put your stupid problems aside in order to enjoy a TV taping. It is not my fault that the person who ended up going instead of you is a hell of a lot better person than you will ever hope to be. It is not my fault that our common friend was miserable when the only person he spoke to was you. It is not my fault, nor am I taking credit for our common friend’s upswing in mood. I am not bothered by being erased. It’s not a new thing for me. Whatevs, yo. It’s your fucking life. What does bother me is the way you try to manipulate people by making up pure lies. It bothers me that you try to push people into “hatred by association” by hanging your friendship over their fucking heads. What the fuck is wrong with you? What type of person are you to get mad because your friend is no longer being miserable? That’s fucking selfish and unfair. Do you really need someone else more miserable than you to point at to remind yourself that you’re not insane? Fancy words cannot hide the inanity of your fucking soul.

Song of the evening: Pollyn - Gave it up. I really, really, really like this song and I’m beginning to really, really, really like this band. Pandora would probably describe it as: mellow rock instrumentation, repetitive melodic phrasing, with a breathy female lead vocalist. Pretty much all the elements that make me like a song.

The Song: Bjork - Come to me.

Love and Lust, Is there a difference? Can there be true love without true lust? Do we not fall out of love when we no longer lust for our lovers? Which hurts more, unrequited love or unrequited lust? What is the difference? Spelling. Both love and lust combine to translate into words the carnal yearning we unwillingly subject ourselves to. The ultimate goal of all this: reproduction. The continuation of the human species is the reason why we fall in love. But why do we sugarcoat our animal instincts by introducing this element of fluffy clouds, red hearts and daydreams? Natural selection. When we fall in love we tend to focus more on the positive elements of the person and ignore the negatives. Unbeknownst to us when we fall in love we are choosing a mate who will provide the essential traits to guarantee our offspring’s fitness for survival. So why do some fall in love with idiots? Heredity. We all inherit a different defintion of the perfect mate. This is why a lot of times women end up with men who are like their fathers, and men end up with women who are like their mothers. So what the hell does all of this really mean? Why try to dissect love into scientific terms? Simple: Love is a powerful emotion that must be understood. Love can drive someone to comit acts of violence or to sit down and write a beautiful song just like this one. A song that makes you feel happy to be able to love, to be able to hurt, to be alive and to be human.¶

I wouldn't know what to write here. Maybe something that doesn't make me sound too pretentious but still better than everyone???
